Summer Cycling: Bike Routes around Liptovske Revuce and Donovaly
Liptovske Revuce is an ideal base for an active summer cycling holiday. From Liptovske Revuce you can reach the trail on foot - no loading bikes into the car. The valley is surrounded by Velka Fatra forests and the air is fresh and cool even on the hottest summer days. Along the way you will find information boards about the railway history, rest benches and drinking springs.
Tip: Set off early in the morning when it is still pleasantly cool. At the end of the route you can turn back and return the same way, or arrange a car pickup in advance.
2. Donovaly cycling trail and mountain MTB routes
Around Donovaly runs the Donovaly cycling trail, connecting several mountain localities. For fit cyclists this is a real challenge - the terrain is demanding, with climbs through beech forests and meadows offering views of the Low Tatras and Velka Fatra. Besides the main trail, there are also local MTB tracks around Donovaly for more experienced riders. A network of singletrack paths through beech and spruce forest will provide an adrenaline boost even for those already familiar with Cyklokorytnicka.
Tip: Donovaly is accessible from Liptovske Revuce by car. We recommend transporting bikes there and starting the routes directly from the centre of Donovaly.
3. Malino Brdo: bike park with gondola for mountain lovers
Malino Brdo operates as a bike park with a gondola lift in summer. Ride the gondola up with your bike and then enjoy descents on trails of varying difficulty - from gentle green runs to demanding black routes. For adult riders it is one of the most attractive bike parks in the region.

4. Cycling trips for families with children
If you are travelling with young children, Cyklokorytnicka is the clear choice. A flat and safe surface, no dangerous sections and the beautiful nature of Revucka valley - a perfect combination for a family cycling day. For a shorter trip, just cover part of the route and return the same way.
Around Liptovske Revuce there are also quieter asphalt roads through nearby villages, suitable for leisurely family rides. Combining cycling with a picnic by the stream or a short forest walk makes for an unforgettable experience.
